Like, I never get notification from Steam that I lost connection while playing for extended periods of time. I typically only notice it when I try to load a new site, when I stick to what I'm doing for extended periods of time, things are typically fine. I lose internet access, although my PC shows up as connected. I think the best thing to do is to switch if you can so they are hit where it hurts (their bottom line). I called them today, waited on hold for 45 minutes, left to go do something for over an hour, came back and I was still on hold. When you call them for any issues, they blame Covid-19 for high call volumes, and don't even answer your call in a timely manner. They're not suppose to charge late fees or terminate service for late payment during the lockdown, but they are continuing to charge customers late fees and interrupting service for late payment. To make things worst, they seem to be adding new mystery charges in your bill as time passes. Unless they upgrade their infrastructure, this isn't going to improve any time soon. I used Pingplotter to monitor packet loss, and most of the times, the drops are happening on the optimum/lightpath portion of the hops. Now that you have a new modem/router, they will blame it on some splitters and replace those, which will not fix the problem. They will blame your router and devices first. Are you getting issues more during peak usage hours? This is most likely due to their network not being able to handle the load.
